Justin D. Hodson, CPI of Hodson P.I., Inc has been re-appointed Chair of the California Association of Licensed Investigators’ (CALI) Unlicensed Practices Committee by CALI’s President Chris Reynolds.
This will be Mr. Hodson’s third year as chair of the committee. The committee focuses on the fight against unlicensed investigators and unlicensed security professionals in California. For the past two years the committee has investigated over 125 cases of possible unlicensed activity. Mr. Hodson feels he has brought a new focus on unlicensed activity by spreading awareness throughout California. Within the past year alone there have been two prosecutions of unlicensed investigators in California and several throughout the Unites States.
This June, Mr. Hodson stepped down from Vice President of Investigative Services for C.A.L.I., an elected position he held for two years. Mr. Hodson was a C.A.L.I board member for three years. Mr. Hodson stated, “I need to focus all my efforts on Unlicensed Activity and continue to build the strength of the Private Investigator license”.
The California Association of Licensed Investigators, also known as CALI, is a is the largest private investigator association in the world. Their goals are to advance the investigation and security profession through education and legislation. The Association has a full time lobbyist in Sacramento and partner with the National Council of Investigation and Security Services (NCISS) in Washington D.C. to support their legislative efforts on behalf of CALI.
